This blog is basically to chart my progress in trying to lose weight...

This is a Record of my daily events including my family when appropriate for my other family members to see if they choose to.

This is my legacy, for my family to read after I am dead and burried. So, any thing on here is meant for them only and if it offends anyone, my apologies, but, its not meant for you and them

Chow for now...

May the LORD Bless all who see this.

I wish you well...

Graduation Party

Posted 06-14-2011 at 04:15 PM by woodworkingmenace

We had our Daughter's Graduation Party last Sunday. (Yea, I know LOL.. Im the last one to know when something is going on, until the last moment).

It was Great!! Had family down from Ashtabula, and a lot of Church family came, so, we all had a great time.

I had to leave early... (party was from 2-6 pm), and I was so tired, that my Wife finally took me home, as I was falling asleep while sitting in a chair.

I did get to take a lot of pictures of everyone, and my Wife made up some picture boards and all that, so, naturally, my Daughter was a wee bit embarrassed, when she had one of the pictures of her, when she was young and had colored her entire face and hands with markers LOL

Daughter wasnt happy about 'that one', but, Wife refused to take it down LOL.
We had food galore.. Chicken, (hot, BBQ, and regular), pasta salad, salad, mashed potatos, rigatonnis, and a whole bunch of cookies and other food, and huge amounts of sodas.

Everyone had a good time, and when the Church Family went back to Church, everyone from Ashtabula, stayed around to help my wife clean up and then they all went to the grave yard to see thier family, before they went home.

My Wife had already put flowers on all the graves for Memorial Day, and they were still flourishing well. (People dont come down much from Ashtabula Ohio, so, my Wife makes sure everyone's Grave is taken care of, each year. She, her Sister, and a few other relatives are left to tend them all...but, with each passing year, the kids who have grown up, dont care about doing that, and eventually, they will go unattended as the years will go by, and those who tend them now, pass on.

Its a shame, but, the youngsters dont have the same values as our generation and the previous generation have, regarding these things... so, as we age, things will be forgotten and will eventually fall to neglect and disrepair. Its sad, but, there isnt anything you can do about it. You cant instill pride and value to someone, who doesnt care about the 'old ways'...

Maybe the Japaneese Culture has it right. They instill this in thier children, and it becomes a part of thier culture, and heritage... We should all keep the 'old ways', but, with the advent of new things, and disregards for 'old things'... its a shame that our youth wont have the same values we cherish.

I finally got to go to exercise today!
I only did half of my routine, and lighter weights, because I hadnt been there for quite some time. And, I also didnt utilize a few of the pieces of equipment, because I didnt want to become totally exhausted, and fall asleep on the machines as I usually do LOL.
Im a wee bit tired when Im at home, but, I can at least wait til I go to bed, instead of falling asleep at my computer, today

May each of you have a Great Day...

I wish you well...
