How did you get to New York City?
Literally, 2010 by CTS Cadillac driven about 850 miles then in 2014 via Southwest Airlines to LGA.
But figuratively, in 2010 I attended NYU and stayed in the dorms. In 2014 I snagged my friends place in an overcrowded 1bd in Downtown Brooklyn where I only payed $600/mo. Got a job within a month and moved to SoHo to split a 2bd. The next step will be to get my own place because living on my own has spoiled me for the last two years.
It's scary I'm sure from the outside, but it's not that bad. I'd say if you don't have some sort of connection, it's going to rely on either you having a job (because landlords for the most part won't rent to you if you don't) or relying on a roommate situation where you don't really know the person beforehand.
ill have a job. working at at hotel i can transfer to a different location! So that takes care of employment but not to familiar with anyone down there :( im a friendly person for the most part so im not realy worried about that either
