Relocating from Ohio to Fort Mill

My husband found a lake named Fishing Creek Lake in Lancaster SC that is affordable lake front and we have been talking to a builder there. It is probably about 50 minutes from downtown Charlette, so it is kinda out there. I'm. It sure if you looked in this area or not. It is a development but the area is not real built up yet. I was wondering if you knew anything about this lake or the area? I have heard comments "it's far out there","I want impressed with the development", "it's far from Charlette" my husband really wants to be in this lake. We are going to look at it in a couple of weeks but since you are boaters I was wondering if you knew of this area or what your realtor thought of this area.
The develoent is Edgewater and it is in Lancaster SC. Let me know if you have any info. Thank you!
