Why I am so adamant

There are some exceptions; some branches of Buddhism come to mind, and possibly Taoism. The Tao Te Ching is a wonderful text, with much wisdom in it; much more than in the Abrahamic texts. The later two are probably more philosophies than religion, and that perhaps makes them so much less prescriptive.

I care about my fellow humans, and I care that they live in harmony, as opposed to the strive that particularly the various branches of the Abrahamic religions have caused, do cause, and there is no reason not to believe, will cause.

Why? Because they need to impose THEIR perspective on a magical supreme being on others, rather than raising the human consciousness to become more in tune with other humanity, and that which provides us the ability to live, nature. Rather than coming from a philosophy of domineering our home, the earth, the philosophies that support us living WITH nature are sustainable and more desirable.

Living with religions that have an apocalyptic viewpoint, and some branches actively desiring such an apocalypse to occur, goes against anything that humans need. It is harmful to other humans, their children and nature.

It truly it is time that we get away from the superstitious perceptions that an ancient desert tribe hacked together, and rather than focusing on trying to justify the convoluted writings that have been translated who knows how many times, along with all the accompanying errors, to something much greater. It is truly time to cast aside that what has divided mankind, and start repairing the damage that religion has caused, is causing, and likely will cause. It is truly time that we view human kind as one, not segmenting it by artificial constructs.

So you ask, why do I care so much. Maybe, just maybe, others will start moving towards the goals of unity, thinking, questioning, and not accepting rote answers and admonitions.

Maybe you could even think that is a great goal.
