Welcome To Case's Column
Let me say a big welcome to all of you for joining me here. I'm going to call these blog meetings Case's Column. I wanted to use "Corner", but that was already taken. Since 2008, it's been a real privilege to come on here and share some of my life with you, and it's a big world where we live.
In these blogs, I'll just speak whatever is on my mind, but we will be playing within the rules here. I may pick a particular topic, point out an event, or shoot the breeze. I'm a little bit of an essayist at times, so I'll just speak what's on my mind, and I might tell a story or two. Or, I might spew out an opinion or three. There will be some serious moments, some tender, some poignant, but there will also be those moments that you'll just bust out laughing. But, hopefully, everything will be in good fun here. And, of course, there's a place below for your comments and thoughts as we go along here. So feel free to join me for the ride -- I sure as heck hope I'm doing this right and not making any mistakes.
Thanks for taking your time in reading Case's Column. Hopefully, you'll enjoy being entertained by it as much as I've enjoyed putting these writings together. And thanks for the time you spend in City-Data.com, where it's great to be alive!
Regards,

AOC Proving Just How Idiotic Congress Is
People just don't trust politicians. And in today's world, you see a lot of elected officials, whether they're in Congress or in the Senate or in governor's offices or mayoral posts, who prove to be the idiots that you and I see them be. No matter the situation, it seems like something these people do or say or whatever actions they may be proposing are giving more just cause to push for term limits in our congressional chamber.
Here's the latest in the Swamp lunacy: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the attention-starved Congresswoman-child from New York City, is now demanding pay raises for lawmakers in Congress. She's arguing that they don't make enough money, so AOC thinks that Congress, who, as if you needed reminding, has done nothing the last two years, should get more money anyway. How would you feel if you did nothing for your boss and still wanted more money just for merely showing up?
Alex, just shut up already. You alone are not worth the money any lawmaker makes, and there is no way that your plan will even get through the Senate. And even if it did, then President Donald J. Trump would veto the hell out of it. Bottom line is this: If you're not going to do anything constructive for all Americans, and if you can't work with this President, then you don't get paid. Period. Selah. I believe that Congress deserves pay cuts, not raises.
Americans are fed up with politicians who continue to shoot the wheels off of themselves. Pay raises for Congress? I'd rather sleep with a yakking parrot.

AOC is really no different from the average politician: Big ego, power-hungry, willing to destroy you. The only difference is that she knows less than most fifth graders.
