Going to church, reading the bible, listening to Christian music will not advance your spiritual life. These activities may give you more understanding but until you are ready to lay down your life and take up your cross this leads nowhere.

What I am talking about is the sacrifice of self to advance the cause of Jesus Christ in the world. There is a destiny that God had for each of us that only we can personally discover. We can discover it only by detaching from the world and making ourselves available for the Holy Spirit. By detaching from the world--now you have time--the commodity that most Christians are not willing to give.

Jesus said, "Self-help is not help at all. Self-sacrifice is the way, to finding yourself, your true self. (Matthew 16:25)

"God has planted eternity in the human heart." (Ecclesiastes 3:11)

"Anyone who lets himself be distracted from the work I plan for him is not fit for the Kingdom of God." (Luke 9:62)

"The most important thing is that I complete my mission, the work that the Lord Jesus gave me." (Acts 20:24)

"We have been sent to speak for Christ." (2 Corinthians 5:20)

"We are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus, to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." (Ephesians 2:10)

Praying The Psalms - 19

Posted 09-18-2019 at 09:32 PM by Albert Finch

Since I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, I flourish like a palm tree as I am planted in the house of the Lord. (Psalm 92:12,13)

I yield fruit and flourish in the courts of God throughout my lifetime. (Psalm 92:13,14)

I give thanks to the Lord and sing praises to His name as He is my rock and protector. (Psalm 92:1,15)

My Lord is clothed with majesty and strength and has set my world in place and so that it cannot be shaken. (Psalm 93:1)

Your testimonies, O Lord, are everlasting and confirmed throughout the ages as they are declared by your disciples. (Psalm 93:2,5)

Your consolations delight my soul, O Lord, as you have been a defender to me, my Savior, The Mighty One, The Helper. (Psalm 94:19,22)

I sing for joy to the Lord and shout joyfully to the rock of my salvation, as I come into His presence with thanksgiving. (Psalm 95:1,2)

I ascribe to the Lord, glory and strength, I ascribe to the Lord the glory due His name, I worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness. (Psalm 96:7,9)

I am glad in the Lord and give thanks to His holy name, as the heavens declare His righteousness and His glory. (Psalm 97:6,12)

Let the rivers clap their hands, let the mountains sing together for joy and rejoice in the salvation provided by our Lord Jesus Christ. (Psalm 98:3,8)
