Going to church, reading the bible, listening to Christian music will not advance your spiritual life. These activities may give you more understanding but until you are ready to lay down your life and take up your cross this leads nowhere.

What I am talking about is the sacrifice of self to advance the cause of Jesus Christ in the world. There is a destiny that God had for each of us that only we can personally discover. We can discover it only by detaching from the world and making ourselves available for the Holy Spirit. By detaching from the world--now you have time--the commodity that most Christians are not willing to give.

Jesus said, "Self-help is not help at all. Self-sacrifice is the way, to finding yourself, your true self. (Matthew 16:25)

"God has planted eternity in the human heart." (Ecclesiastes 3:11)

"Anyone who lets himself be distracted from the work I plan for him is not fit for the Kingdom of God." (Luke 9:62)

"The most important thing is that I complete my mission, the work that the Lord Jesus gave me." (Acts 20:24)

"We have been sent to speak for Christ." (2 Corinthians 5:20)

"We are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus, to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." (Ephesians 2:10)

Feed My Sheep

"Simon Peter answered, 'You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.' And Jesus said to him, 'Blessed are you, Simon Barjona, because flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but My Father who is in Heaven. I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades will not overpower it. I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven; and whatever you bind on earth shall have been bound in Heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall have been loosed in Heaven.'" Matthew 16:16-19

As we begin to understand our authority in the realm of the earth -- we decree and proclaim Heaven's expectation in the earth. It is by our agreement with the Lord through understanding and carrying out our calling in Christ that these things will begin to be revealed and established.

"Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD has risen upon you. For behold, darkness will cover the earth and deep darkness the peoples; but the LORD will rise upon you and His glory will appear upon you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising." Isaiah 60:1-3

We arise and shine because the Light of God has finally come to release God's plan of redemption in a more full way. Although great darkness may permeate the earth, the righteous in Christ will begin to reflect Heaven's illumination.

NO GOOD THING WILL HE WITHHOLD

Psalm 84:11 - "For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD gives grace and glory; no good thing does He withhold from those who walk UPRIGHTLY."

As we confess and meditate on God's promises to believers and our identity in Christ -- we will more appropriately apprehend His purpose for our life and the hunger and desire to advance His Kingdom in the earth. This will create transference from His heart into ours. Then, our desire will be consistent with His purpose.

IT IS A GOOD THING

It is a good thing to possess the holiness of God and His purity.

It is a good thing to have the "tares of our soul" extracted.

It is a good thing to be delivered from generational curses and fleshly encumbrances.

It is a good thing to experience communion with God and our brethren.

It is a good thing to declare the revealed Word of God; confirmed with miracles, signs and wonders.

It is a good thing to possess the fruit of the Spirit imparted through close encounters with Him.

It is a good thing to live by the faith of the Son of God.

It is a good thing to disciple "BABY CHRISTIANS" to bring them to an understanding of their "inheritance in Christ" and "right standing" with God.

John 20:17 - "He said to him the third time, 'Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?' Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time....Jesus said to him. "Feed My sheep."

"We understand what love is when we realize that Christ gave His life for us. That means we must give our lives for other believers." - 1John 3:16

To walk UPRIGHTLY is to obediently follow Jesus' written and spoken word. A righteous walk is determined by how much of the glory of God is being manifested in our union with Christ.

Are we becoming the reflection of His image and God's representation on earth -- walking as one with Jesus -- even to DISCIPLING others who are new in Christ?
