Going to church, reading the bible, listening to Christian music will not advance your spiritual life. These activities may give you more understanding but until you are ready to lay down your life and take up your cross this leads nowhere.

What I am talking about is the sacrifice of self to advance the cause of Jesus Christ in the world. There is a destiny that God had for each of us that only we can personally discover. We can discover it only by detaching from the world and making ourselves available for the Holy Spirit. By detaching from the world--now you have time--the commodity that most Christians are not willing to give.

Jesus said, "Self-help is not help at all. Self-sacrifice is the way, to finding yourself, your true self. (Matthew 16:25)

"God has planted eternity in the human heart." (Ecclesiastes 3:11)

"Anyone who lets himself be distracted from the work I plan for him is not fit for the Kingdom of God." (Luke 9:62)

"The most important thing is that I complete my mission, the work that the Lord Jesus gave me." (Acts 20:24)

"We have been sent to speak for Christ." (2 Corinthians 5:20)

"We are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus, to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." (Ephesians 2:10)

Achieving The Unachievable

Posted 12-31-2023 at 11:38 AM by Albert Finch

Exodus 14:16 - "But lift up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children if Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.”

God generally doesn't call us to do things we can accomplish in our own ability. He calls us to achieve the unachievable and accomplish the impossible.

Mark 4:3,8 - "Listen! Behold, a sower went out to sow his seed. Still other seed fell on good soil. It came up, grew and produced a crop, multiplying thirty, sixty, or even a hundred times."

Matthew 24:24-26,30 - "Then the man who received one talent came......I was afraid and went out and hid your talent in the ground....His master replied, 'You wicked lazy servant!...Throw that worthless servant outside, into the darkness, were there will be weeping and grinding of teeth.'"

Preservation and planting are two entirely different processes. God didn't save and deliver us so we could preserve His gift in a sealed jar and live life as usual. He expects us to PLANT our life, our gift, and our inadequacy in the soil of faith and DIE so He can live through us. He loves us, but He is also looking beyond us to the harvest He will produce through our Christ calling.

"God was pleased to reveal His Son IN ME so that I might preach Him among the Gentiles." - Galatians 1:15,16

God reveals Christ IN US so that we might preach Him among the nations -- evangelizing -- DISCIPLING and equipping others for Christian service. Once we meet Christ, then others can see Christ IN US. The life we live, we live by Christ IN US.

Affirmations:

I REFUSE TO BURY THE INVESTMENT GOD HAS MADE IN ME, NO MATTER HOW SMALL IT IS.

HE IS TRYING TO USE MY EMPTINESS TO OPENLY DISPLAY HIS FULLNESS.

I ASK, SEEK, AND KNOCK (Matthew 7:7) UNTIL I COME TO UNDERSTAND MY CHRIST CALLING.
