Since 2007 I had a person on my contact list, she (i wont post username, but "Chirp" was her status) was a friend who also emailed me and contacted me off the forum...so, question is: what happened to her?
If I try to pull her profile it says, not accessible. When she emailed me she was mentioned the user acct here was hacked or something. So- how do I find out what happened to her?
She is a long termer and not a spammer or anything-appreciate any input.
Unfortunately there really is no way through City-Data to contact someone who has dropped out of contact. For privacy reasons, no Moderator is going to share any details about one member with another member, even if we knew them - and with over a million total members, the chances that a Mod knows what exactly happened to cause your friend to drop out of sight range from slim to nonexistent anyway.
If you have her email address and have connected with her by that method, I'd suggest trying to reach her by email. If that doesn't work, I'm afraid there really isn't anything else to suggest.

If she emailed you, do you have her email address? You could use that to contact her.
Although this would not help if you are unable to access her profile but under the "contact info" tab in a user's profile, you might be able to send a message via email which will go to their email address on file at CD. This happened to me where a user was able to send me an email to my personal email address connected to my CD profile. They would not have access to my email address unless I respond back using my email account though. Not all users have this feature enabled as it is no longer an option in my profile though ... Depends upon the user's settings.
A CD regular died last year. That person still shows up as a active member, they still get rep points added to their info, that person's profile is still active, and I'm sure they probably have Direct Messages sitting unanswered. A couple of months after his death I had his personal email account closed and there were messages from other CD members still showing up that week.
People die, people move on, people change interest, and people out grow online forums.

If you have an obituary, scan a copy and send it to a senior mod along with their info. We have a number of "eternal members" where proof was supplied.
I had a friend on here who passed a few years ago and had his personal email as well..about fell out of my chair this morning when I had an email from him, of course his email acct was hacked and it was spam.
I thought those free accounts like yahoo and hotmail disabled the accont after a period of inactivity, guess not
As for O/P hopefully you hung on to her email and can make contact through that
What a nice gesture, re: eternal members, SouthernBelle.
I believe this person lost her nephew a year ago, and prolly changed the email addy.
And yes, I remember CD (2006) when MoMark was made an eternal member, most long-termers here are faithful and reliable (not like fakebook).
Its nice CD memorializes members who are no longer around.
