I just made a post in the retirement forum and used the word f r a u d s t e r and didn’t preview the post. It posted that word as *********. I edited it and substituted evil-doer and it accepted that. No big deal but I can’t figure why that is an objectionable word. Any ideas? I just previewed this post and noticed it is ******* in the title. I used the word in the context of someone trying to gain access to an account they didn’t own.

That to me is a software glitch. Maybe words beginning with "f" are targeted by the filter.

It may be a way of preventing Advameg INC from being named in a lawsuit. Something along the lines of libel? Maybe? That would be my guess.

You just wrote the word "filter".

The word fraud is showing up just fine.
Go figure...

F r a u d s t e r synonyms are also fine.

bilk, bilker, cheat, cheater, chiseler (or chiseller), confidence man, cozener, defrauder, dodger, fakir, finagler, hoaxer, scammer, scamster, shark, sharper, sharpie (or sharpy), skinner, swindler, tricker, trickster

And so are words related to it:

double-crosser, double-dealer, bluffer, charlatan, fake, faker, humbug, impostor (or imposter), mountebank, phony (also phoney), pretender, quack, quacksalver, ringer, sham adventurer, fox, gamesman, knave, prankster, rascal, rogue fast-talker, slick, slicker, slickster, slyboots, smoothy (or smoothie), wheeler-dealer plotter, schemer, sneak, sneaker blackleg, cardsharp (or cardsharper)...

So, what's the problem with that particular word?

Now I wonder about the word mobster...

There are 5055 words starting with F, so I doubt that.

Hell, if we can't say "*********" how could we ever talk about our elected officials? Just asking . . . for a friend
