The thread title and the poll say two somewhat different things.

China is indeed exploiting Africa. They exploit everyone. Then again almost all nations do, when they can.

That doesn't mean the exploited party isn't getting something in return...it's just not giving as much overall as it's giving. China is exploiting the heck out of the US in the same way. For a desperately poor country, that might still equal an overall "help" if it doesn't go on too long.

Here you are comparing European "colonialism", which ended 60 years ago with contemporary Chinese activities.

Lets check a few years from now when the Africans discover that they have lots of white elephants which they cant afford to maintain, loans to China, which they cant repay, and no technology transfer as almost every single job created by these Chinese funded projects went to Chinese, except for fetching water.

The fcat that Europe exploited Africa doesn't give China the right to do so.

Explain to me how much value added manufacturing is China doing in Africa.

Oh yes right. They want cheap RAW commodities from Africa mined by Chinese workers to be used by plants in CHINA!!!!! In exchange some African dictator gets a huge stadium which will be in ruins in 10 years.

And AS TO infrastructure. Yes Africa is full of failed hydro dams and other mammoth projects built 30 years ago by the World Bank.

The Europeans weren't angels, but then neither are the Chinese.
Sorry, european colonialism never ended,it is still going on,you just don't want to see it.
Why would you worry about chinese ? if europeans are loosing business in Africa, they can only blame themselves.
I don't want to check years from now,i want to check now, chinese are doing a better job, that's all.
China already cancelled several african countries their debts.what are you talking about ?
Who are you to tell China what to do ?
World bank is still controled by former colonizers so it doesn't do any good to africans dealing with the world bank.
For now, chinese are seen by africans as angels.

Chinese learn all that from europeans, then why are we blaming China for something that was invented by the europeans ?

African are not interested in getting into chinese internal affairs,China is a sovereign country.
I don't care about this kind of stories,i'm only interested in the strong cooperation between China and Africa.
You can't divert the thread to other subjects that have nothing to do with Africa.

You can check on France's record on human rights, the way they treat their own french people of african descent, that is well documented by Amnesty International, and in other european countries too.

European don't have any moral ground to talk about human rights in China, since they have an uglier record along the history.

I don't think so. It simply doesn't make Chinese exploitation sound worse, and it isn't worse. An unfair business deal is better than an armed takeover.
