Yes, as a Canton resident the actual amount of snow on the ground is usually reasonable.

Whitmeyer, I don't think we are comparing all of Columbus to Canton, we are comparing specific neighborhoods. Can you talk specifically about the Linden neighborhood? Same with Canton, some areas are great and others are nightmares.

Canton gets more snow than Columbus. I'm sure the why and how of that fact is irrelevant to the original poster.

I lived in the Arena District in Columbus, and had some friends and family in the suburbs, so those are the areas I'm most familiar with. Personally, I wouldn't move anywhere without visiting first, unless you plan on moving to an area that's well known for being safe (i.e., somewhere very expensive).

There are definitely nice neighborhoods in Canton, there's just not as much to do, fewer jobs, etc.

I agree. Columbus is a wonderful place with a lot of nice features. My sister lives on East Whittier near German Village. That specific neighborhood is very cool and I feel like I would really enjoy life there.

Even so, the original poster asked about a specific neighborhood in Columbus. He also asked about a specific neighborhood in Canton. If he had asked about the SE end of downtown Canton, I would have said "heck no!" It so happens that the area he asked about is nice.

This isn't a comparison of entire cities. This is a "who are my neighbors" quality of life question. I live in a nice Canton neighborhood and would never trade it for a rowdy Columbus neighborhood. Now, if you asked me to move to Victorian Village in Columbus i'd move today.
