Hi Folks. A week from today I will be traveling through Alabama. I am going to avoid the interstate and enjoy the countryside on back roads. I am hoping for Spring flowers, good weather and a wonderful experience during my first trip in your state. I just wanted to say Hi

They've dropped their blossoms - just green now.

BTW - I didn't know that the redbud blossoms are edible.

Depending on where you will be coming from and where you are going there is a lot to see.

For NE AL.. these are just a few things to consider

Huntsville has NASA space center and the rockets.
Must have in NE AL is BBQ.. Bob Gibsons is famous around here.

Cathedral Caverns in Grant is an interesting trip in Grant, AL.

Scottsboro AL has Unclaimed baggage where you will find more stuff than you ever thought you would see in one place.

There are small waterfalls that are really pretty in Marshall county and then there is a state park in Ft. Payne.
DeSoto State Park | Alapark

Lake Guntersville state park Lodge shows the beauty of the Lake. You may see some deer wondering around too

There is the Shrine of the most Blessed Sacrament in Hanceville. A catholic church that is beautiful from the founder of EWTN.

There are also covered bridges in Blountsville area.
