Yep. Live on Birmingham's Southside. All good here. Thanks for asking.

The neighbors across from my childhood home lost theirs today. Our old house seems to be ok per early reports. <sigh> My aunt’s house was spared. Thank goodness for that. We’ll be staying with her, arriving in exactly one week.

Our old family house was indeed damaged. There’s not a tree standing and there was one tree down on one end of the house. I’ll say this: the original portion of the house that my father and grandfather built did quite well! I’m so sorry for the current owners and our neighbor across highway 5.

From Brent/Centreville. Ugh. He went by my aunt’s subdivision about 15 seconds from where the video starts.

We’ll hopefully be there this time next week. I’m glad there’s a “there” there.

Wasn't Brent hit hard in 1974?

Good memory. Something like 60% of the homes and 95%of the businesses were destroyed on May 27, 1973.
