I'm taking a road trip up there tomorrow to visit some friends and to try out my "new" 4 Runner.

Drove that during hunting season last year. Take it easy and bing at least one spare tire. It's a nice trip and you will likely see some animals. Try the food at the lodge...it was pretty good.

Crap - wished I'd checked in sooner since I'm up near Manley

And near the friends you're visiting I suspect

Be real careful on the unpaved section of the Elliott before you get to the paved section around the Eureka turn-off since the maintenance crews haven't exactly been stellar this year. Otherwise, the rest of the road into Manley is in pretty good condition.

Hope you have fun on your quad and visiting!
