Unhappy Popcorn ceiling asbestos

Be Careful as you seem to have cracked popcorn ceiling which often contains asbestos that maybe hazardous for your health and others, call oa contractor or get your wall tested to be assured its free of asbestos

Not all popcorn ceilings contain asbestos, and if it has it there is no problem as long as you leave it alone.

By the way, you don't have to use a contractor to remove popcorn ceiling at your home, nor do you have to submit a report to the EPA. But if you get a contractor to do it, then the reporting has to take place, and the popcorn material has to be properly bagged and disposed of in accordance to the rules.

But what I see in the photo on this thread a page or two back is a heavy texture, not popcorn.
