What races are there in Alaska. I am from Texas. Are there a lot of blacks or Mexicans there.

Since that was/is Sarah Palin's home, it is likely that blacks and mexicans are nowhere to be seen or not present in any numbers that are worth anyone's attention.

I really thought this was going to be about competitive racing of some sort.

All races and we all seem to get along pretty well nowadays. Alaska is more about live and let live than about what your neighbors are doing. Most of the people I know are more interested in what the weekend is going to be like, than in where their neighbors came from. I saw a sign at the high school that my youngest just graduated from saying that there were kids there from over 50 different countries (as in immigrants). We have a large Latino population, a healthy mix of Asians, Somali families, and one of the largest populations of former military per capita in the states.

The Iditarod, Iron Dog, and lots more. There are races almost every weekend all summer long.

Sheesh. We have pretty much all races here...and then some.

Depends on where you go
