Howard Rock
Howard Rock edited the Tundra Times and was instrumental in getting the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act passed. His efforts prevented the Atomic Energy Commission from conducting nuclear tests at a site near Point Hope in Alaska, which is where he was born.

Nick Jans, you have to buy his books. He has great stories of living in Ambler, Ak. Way better than the things you hear on Point Hope on a daily basis.
