Here are a couple of shots from Sunday morning of one of the falls on upper Steep Creek in Juneau. I only had my monopod with me so they aren’t as sharp as I’d like, but the tripod requires to much effort for an ole gimp like me to lug up the trail.

Yes it is Chris, the lower part of the creek is off to the left (when facing the glacier) of the parking areas at the visitor center where the boardwalks are. The falls in this shot are up on the mountain on the right side of the access road to the glacier above and behind (south of) the visitor center.

Is there a plaque on the trail showing where the glacier used to be?

Not that I recall, are you talking about the trail in front of the visitor center that goes out on the rock line towards the glacier to photo point? If so it isn't that one, the trail that has the falls in the picture is called the "Trail of Time" it starts above the top of the visitor center building and goes away from the glacier, along the mountain above and behind the center, it comes out along the access road before you get to the parking lots.

Beautiful pictures Redhawk. And Rance yours were amazing too. I can't imagine seeing colors in the sky like that. I love looking at all the pictures on here, thanks for sharing. We don't see things like that in the land of Lincoln!!

Chris, now that I think about it there is a rock that has been carved on the trail that says "Ice Limit 1920"
