There is no comparison (they are meant for different types of photography to say nothing of their different sensor sizes). The 5D II is outstanding. A friend got an advance copy last week and the low light performance beats the 5D (in its day the top dog in high ISO performance) by at least 2 stops in noise performance. The HD video capture opens up possibilities, too. I hear that the backorder times are ridiculously long, that's how much the demand is expected to be. I am hoping to get mine as soon as it ships from BHPhotovideo.
