My summer in Alaska (Anchorage, Fairbanks: rent, loft, home)

Well work was slow in the lower 48 , so I decided to go back Home , I needed another run really bad .
It worked realy good and when I left THE BIG LAND BACK TO THE LOWER 48 I became depressed. My heart was broken hearted again.

But back to my story-- I went home, flew into Fairbanks , my friend had a loft I went to at 12;00 pm , he left a key. The next day I bumbed a ride to the union and had a job the next day. did a drug test , in the mean time I bought a car for $1100, registered it, insured it with a fax and Boom, I have a job a car and a place to live--- I told ya its easy dumbdum.

The job went well , crazy daze , They asked me back tooo next year-- Im a top Hand ya know. My rent was $400 a month , besides theres so many places to stay for the 400 range.

So then were done I get a layoff and I sell the car and buy a plane ticket and fly to Odessa TX for a job there, I had 2 big luggabe bags the airline charged me $25 each--- so what ,, I said take it --thanks.

If your young and want a start just fly to Fairbanks, look in Craigslist for shared housing, buy a 1000$ car and hit the construction companies outside of Fairbanks and in 2 years you'll be makin $8000 amonth -- word. Thats how I did it . and Im a troll ---FU

They told me to call them in December if I want to work the slope building Ice roads, may take a month to get a slot. havent decided--- gravy duty tho......

Well Manmountain, who was the company, after over 4 years CH2 called back my man-guy to the slope, we have been in AZ for over 4 years... we are contemplating, but leaning toward the not...as it would be a $1500 year raise compared to here, but that does not take into consideration travel time and cost to get to Anchorage...it is pretty much a no-brainer as to not to do...Maybe now he will get rid of his winter gear he was issued many moons ago....
