I've read here that when women talk about meeting men in Alaska they say "the odds are good, but the goods are odd." Is it the same thing for men who want to meet women? Or, maybe the odds are bad and the goods are odd?

Try applying for summer work at one of the many lodges that are in the area they have jobs available at
Summer Jobs and Seasonal Jobs in Great Places | CoolWorks.com and many are I Alaskan lodges and camps throughout the spring to fall months and over the summer. Might be a good way to meet people from the area, and also visitors etc. and make some money while you're at it.
