Hello, I'm from Colorado about to complete my 20's and I always was the adveturous type. It was always a dream to me to move to Alaska. I was looking for cities in the interior Alaska and I found Fairbanks pretty interesting. Does it have lots of snow and severe winters? I want a place where there is a lot of snow or it's really cold but it has to be in the interior. I have a Husky by the way, he will get used to the weather in Alaska? Thank you!

Do you have a job lined up? If not do you have six month's worth of living expenses saved up? Do you have a marketable job skill? Have you ever visited Alaska?

Fairbanks is cold and it does get some good snow. But Alaska is expensive to get to, expensive to live in and expensive to get out of when things turn bad.

So I'm guessing you applied for the job in Fairbanks, since that is the location you are asking about...
If you get the job and have money saved up for the move, give it a shot. I think a visit ahead of time is important, but some people are more comfortable with risk than me.
Keep in mind: The cost of living is higher here. In Fairbanks you'll have additional costs to deal with the cold. And if things don't work out, you've got the cost of getting back out of here.
