Remember when he was on here squawking about the Barrow Police Dept and the FBI. Said something big was gonna happen and it involved the FBI. Well, maybe he was half right, eh??

Missing Cash, Drugs at North Slope Borough Police Dept. Spurs Investigation | Local News - KTUU.com Anchorage

Money and drugs went missing from the evidence room at the police station in Barrow last year—and now the North Slope Borough is launching an investigation into what happened.
A North Slope Borough Police Department memo written by an evidence custodian in February 2013 details missing cash and cocaine from the department’s evidence safe. Barrow police officer Gary Moore gave the memo to the Arctic Sounder online newspaper in March. The memo was obtained by KNOM this week.
The memo says twice in February 2013 the custodian found evidence tags attached to empty bags—or attached to nothing at all. A bag meant to be filled with confiscated cocaine was cut open and emptied; several envelopes filled with cash had also been opened and emptied. One envelope tagged as containing more than 4-thousand dollars in cash had disappeared.

Wasn't it about his son being shot 17 times and living?

Speaking of him - Where is he?

He might have been the informer and is now on the run.

I think he meant he got shot 17 times in a metaphysical sense not figuratively. On a side note the North Slope Borough was the first police department I worked for back in 83. I always wondered what happened to the cash and drugs we logged into the evidence room.

I wonder if Gary is going to get in trouble over that memo. His SO is dispatcher for the emergency services and they have a young daughter.

I was under the impression this was standard procedure in law enforcement.

You've been operating under the wrong impression.

So the rumor i heard was that the new police chief was involved in the missing evidence, and is leaving soon. I dunno cause i have been out of the loop for a long time (personal health issues). Last i heard there was a probe going on by the FBI, this comes from an officer who i am acquainted with.

What I can't understand is why they would cut open the bags and leave the empty ones there. Seems like they wanted to have them found.

But it will all come out later, or completely go away.... :0)

Something happened with David, not sure what or where the line was at, but I think he wasn't on good terms with them.

The chief had submitted his resignation a few weeks ago due to family issues according to one of my NSBPD friends and isn't suspected in any part of this. That's the word right now, at least.
