I'm looking for the best/cheapest way to ship my F250 up. I'm guessing some of you on this forum have done it or know someone who has. I would like to send somethings up with it, like a riding lawn mower, misc items..... what do you recommend. I don't have time to go down and drive it up myself.

Find someone (like me) to drive it up. Make sure you have paperwork for the things you're putting in the back. I drove a teacher's F150 down last summer to Seattle, she paid for fuel, hotels, and the ticket back to Bethel.

Nevermind... I read the title... Probably cheaper to have someone drive it up for you.

I got quotes from movemycar.com

Cheapest - I have no idea and we ended up just driving ours up. They wanted $2250 to move a Chevy Volt from Miami to Anchorage if that helps. And that was after some stalling on committing.

Barge lines in Seattle. Northland Services. They have the best rates.

Northland, a service of Alaska Marine Lines, Inc.

I ended up going with Alaska Car Transport, I'll let you know how it goes.....turns out they are an east coast company, not Alaskan, but they have a 907 area code!
