There is nothing difficult about access to Whittier. Not everyone wants gads of amenities. For some folks Whittier is exactly what they are looking for. It works for them. A friend of mine moved from Barrow to Whittier 30 years ago and is still there.

I did say MAX. They are going to offer a new higher technology soon but it is line of sight only, similar to the old "tuna can" that was around in the 70's.

Does anyone know how to get more information about financing a place in Begich Towers? Are they commercially financed or through some other means?

I believe they are considered condos and I would imagine that you could get a mortgage same as any other condo.
