You know they had to put warnings such as those because some dimwit probably ate a few. Good afternoon, Deb

LOL - I am sure it was, ya never know....I've seen that warning for a few years now, but have come to the conclusion the long strings are not the way to go....just got done going through them and threw away about 5 strings of 150 or whatever they are...tried replacing the fuse things, worthless waste of time...going to stick with the shorter ones, have had some of those for years and years...they don't make anything like they used to

No they don't...on many things. I get frustrated with strands that only half light up and after combing all the lights and replacing bulbs/fuses....it's either the same half or the other. It is why we went to LED's for the outdoors and will slowly add more as we can. They are supposed to last longer. We'll see.

I have yet to go through the gabillion strands of green lights I have for St. Patrick's day

LED's will last longer and will use less electric. And I think they are brighter that the bulbs.

Yeah, I friggin' HATE the cheap lights nowadays...what a waste of money and they do it on purpose

When my grandparents died many years ago, I was asked what I wanted from their estate. The thing I asked for was all their old Christmas ornaments and lights--they even had the old style bubble lights that are illegal now or something. And all those beautiful old lights still work...but they're back in Minnesota so I guess my parents can use 'em until I go back for a visit and bring 'em up!

I just love the shade of blue from an LED.

I loved those bubble-lights. Cannot believe they are illegal...good gawd.

I just hope the ground has thawed enough to put up my two 6' Leprechauns. It is all nonsensical and American-based stereotypical b.s. But I enjoy the time of year and honouring the small drops of Irish in my bloodstream
