In my first picture, if ya look close at about 3 o'clock & across the bay, you can see that the trees have grown back but somewhat smaller at this point as there is a line where the original trees are taller behind....

There's a lotta miles of neat beach out there up to Yakatat....

This would be over the Chilkat Range from Haines and just slightly southwest of Mt Fairweather....

Landed down to the right....

Nice photos, are those 26" Goodyears or the Alaska Bush wheels?

Thought about going down that way on floats this summer, have some friends that live in Yakatat that we haven't seen in some time.

I was at these sites 58 years ago, and I am trying to find recent photos of them. They are gold mines in the Koyukuk watershed, north and west of Bettles.
