Ugh...call me a tree huggin' liberal (or something), but I'd take the Prius over the F150 anyday. Besides, the Ford F150's in my neck of the woods are driven by reggaeton blasting, reckless driving meatheads who won't even be able to afford to run their 100% financed cars when gas goes back up to $3 per gallon.

I don't think the Prius would do too well pulling their trailer...

How could you sleep in the back of a Prius if your over 4'9"? Aren't these cars made for little oriental people?

Lots of silos here in Kansas. Wind farms too. Last time out this way we saw lots of the windfarms in, I think it was, Wyoming.

The parking lot at Sam's Club on Old Seward by Dimond always has RV's through the summer and so does the Freddies on Dimond.

I would drive the F-150. While it uses a lot of fuel, you don't have to spend too much on hotels and food along the roads by sleeping and cooking in the trailer. Just pull off the main roads to rest for the night.

What is good about a trailer is that you can take your time driving around Alaska, while resting as needed near the road system. By the way, a lot of the Alaska roads have State parks where you can pull off the road and spend the night for around $10.00 or less, but you can pull off the main roads and park in any open or rest stops along the way. Now, if you happen to travel on the Richardson Highway from Delta Junction to Valdez, there are lots of places you can pull off and park away from the road. Just don't drive down to a flood area or something, just in case

We're in Denver. So far- one night at a WalMart, one night at a Kentucky campground, and one night at a Kansas rest stop. Gas prices going steadily up, but at least we sleep cheap.

F150. It's more practical in everyway, except for fuel economy of course. You'll be driving one of the top quality trucks on the market and supporting an American company.

Also, the Prius will gives of the impression of being a smug elitist (Even though this is not true for some Prius owners) and I don't think you'd want to deal with that.
