Hey all, just a quick question on where to get the best (meaning best price, high quality) produce in the valley? Where do you prefer to get yours?

Go on the Palmer-Wasilla Highway and Trunk Road, 3 Bears is a great place to shop. Great prices, too.

In Wasilla...I like Fred Meyers

Three Bears is also good, it's like a mini Costco.

The best produce is at the Farmers Market. Wednesdays behind the library.

Otherwise, I like to shop at carrs and pick Alaska produce when available.

Yeah, I'm sure. We've been meaning to make it to the market. In fact I know the Kenley's that run a little stand there and sell a bunch of stuff they grow in their garden up on Palmer Fishhook, from the sounds of it though it's quite a bit more expensive than the conventional grocery store. Once I get a consistent paycheck coming in though it'll be nice to get the home grown stuff, it tastes so much better.

Does 3 Bears carry any Trader Joe's goods like the independent grocery in Homer?

Are you serious? you can get trader joe's goods in Homer? I bet that will convince my wife to move down there!

Not sure about 3 bears, I waited in the car with the sleeping kids while the wife went in to do the shopping.
