Who else is getting this crazy freezing rain?

3 power outages so far here in Nuiqsut (60 miles west of Prudhoe). The latest one lasted 40 minutes. Got ready for work by lantern-light.

Well, Minnesota winters are nasty. I don't think I would go as far as to say "Alaska" has less harsh winters because I think places like Fairbanks and Barrow would have more harsh winters, just barely

Btw. Its warmer in Barrow today than in SW Minnesota! Oh, to be up in the warm paradise of Barrow right now, sitting on the beach by those palm trees

A fun ride to work this morning! It was like highway pinball on the Rich. Hwy.! Six pickups and one car in the ditch between North Pole and Fairbanks. My kids will be mad at me....the school buses were cancelled (not schools), but I got them to school anyway.
