I own a house in Albany that I am looking to rent out for about three years, while I live somewhere else.

I have only used RE agents in the past to buy property, and wonder about who to see to handle arrangements for renting it out.

Do all RE agents also handle rentals? When I checked out the various websites, NONE of them mention being agents to rent out property. Do they just not mention it?

It's a brand new undertaking for me, so I wonder if anyone has any ideas on how to find the right person or company to handle it.

I'd appreciate any suggestions.

We sold our home in the midwest and moved to the area a year ago. A rental agent helped us find the townhouse we are in right now (renting)- boy o boy did we ever appreciate her help! She was a godsend to be sure- it is sooo tough to know where to look and who to trust when you are moving to a new place. My husband's employer provided was to provide relocation assistance, and they did quite a lot for us, but finding the right place to rent was kinda left in our laps; we did not want to buy until we had a chance to know the area better.
Anyway, an agent at Realty USA helped us find our current rental and our GREAT landlord.
