There is a place called Hancock Gourmet Lobster, or something like that, which will ship fresh lobster rolls to you from Maine. It is pricey, but it is a nice treat - check out their website, they have lots of other things and you can create a whole New England meal and have something nice and intimate at home. I've seen some of their frozen products, I believe, at Costco.
I don't eat lobster, but the Grand Central Oyster Bar....especially when it is decorated for the Christmas/holiday season. Even if the food was not great, which I think it is; the energy alone....oh, I am homesick now!
I was in Smiths the other night and took a peek at their seafood selection. I was discusted by how distubingly un-fresh it was!! No wonder some of you native land locked New Mexicans don't love seafood!!!!
Lobster beats all other creatures on this planet in tasty wonderfulness. Any place sell live lobsters here?
Do you have a recipe that you may want to pass along?
It is all about getting the perfect lobster to mayo ratio... too much mayo and you lose your precious lobster taste, too little mayo and you might as well ditch the bun and go for the butter.
I cook everything by taste. start with a lot of lobster and a little mayo and taste... Then add a small amount more mayo until it reaches your perfect ratio. Add it to your buttery toasted bun and enter heaven! You can add some salt/pepper and squirt a little lemon in there too.
