Anyone know where I can get a good lobster roll in ABQ? My wife loves them and I would really like to surprise her by taking her to a place where they make a decent one. It doesn't have to be fancy, as long as I feel reassured that we wont feel ill after!

Assuming you mean the type they serve in the NE, and not the sushi variety...

I have not seen one on any menu here. I usually get them when I visit Boston.

I checked menus for:

Pappadeaux - no

Landry's - no

Red Lobster - no

Pelican's - no

I just cannot think of any place that would have them. I think most local restaurants would order lobster tails only so they would not have the spare lobster flesh with which to make them.

My suggestion? Buy a fresh lobster some place and make your own.

When you find one, let me know.

I agree with Karma. We've eaten at a number of oriental restaurants here and I've never seen a lobster roll on any menu,
even the "Secret: Oriental Eyes Only" menus...

I think he's referring to something you might call a lobster salad roll....lobster chunks with celery in a mayonnaise sauce, in a soft roll.

It may sound nasty. Lobster and mayo on a toasted hotdog bun. And it isn't cheap either. But sometimes you just gotta go against your instincts and try it. You won't be sorry. They make a mean one at the Grand Central Oyster Bar in NYC.
