Where do people go for just a night of "dancing" after dinner? It could be anything, from club, to formal, to square dancing.

Also, is there a good place you'd recommend to see a rodeo nearby? I have a friend coming into town who has fixated on doing that.

We try and go to the Annual Sandoval County Sheriff’s Posse Rodeo, in Bernalillo every year or so, well rounded: https://www.city-data.com/forum/albuq...eo-2009-a.html

State Fair (In ABQ) has a good lineup during the state fair.

Socorro County Fair and Rodeo was pretty neat, 5 years ago or so...

There are others scattered around the state. Here is the best list I have seen: Calendar of Rodeos in New Mexico.

I'm just guessing, but winter probably isn't rodeo season.

Of course, if you have a friend visiting in the spring, the Ty Murray Invitational (Bull Riding) is a do-not-miss for rodeo lovers.
