Drove by the Chipotle on the westside on my way to Rio Rancho. It looked like it was open, and there wasn't a crowd out the door on Sun at 1PM.

Good analogy...

Drove from Rio Rancho to Lowes to get some stuff, (behind the new Chipotle), then to Petsmart to shop, then past Lumpy's on our way to Popeyes, then through Corrales on our way home with a bag of Extra Spicy fried chicken... Did not even glance at Chipotle or 'Five Guys', but I did think of Jason's Deli in that area.

I've been to that Chipotle. In Indianapolis we have Chipotle and Qdoba. IMO Qdoba is better and Chipotle doesn't have as much flavor. The Chipotle on WS was busy but not anything like the one in Uptown with people waiting down the block. It was a little crowded and had steady traffic.

The new Chipotle and Five Guys on Alameda are now open. Drove through the lot today. Chipotle looked a bit crowded at 1:14 pm today but there was room for parking. Five Guys, about half full. So now in that immediate area, within walking distance of each other, your choices in order of my preference are:
1. Jason's Deli
2. Hooters
3. Five Guys
4. Chipotle

There is no way that Hooters' food is better than 5 Guys'. The appearance of the employees...

That was my opinion. Five Guys does not have much of a varied selection. As much as I like hamburgers and fries, hamburgers and fries gets boring. But there are what we consider to be better places for hamburgers and fries (plus more), but I was talking about that immediate area. If you think "'There is no way that Hooters' food is better than 5 Guys'", fine, that is your opinion.

Chipotle is fine if you need something really quick and are in the area. Food is decent, for a fast-food type of burrito, but definitely not worth going out of your way or standing in line out the door. I'd sooner order take-out from one of the many high-quality, privately owned Mexican restaurants in ABQ than wait for Chipotle.

This was my dilemma the other day. It was Sunday afternoon, about 1:15pm. I wanted to get Chipotle and kick back and watch NFL. When I drove up to the new Chipotle on the west side, the line was nearly out the door. There were probably 30-50 customers in line. That looked like a 20 minute wait to me, so I caved and went for the new Five Guys instead of the new Chipotle. The new Five Guys seems to have raised there prices, and could be higher priced than the east side Five Guys off Paseo/San Pedro, but that's only my hunch. $11 later, and the food wasn't that good. I think they over-season their ground beef, I found it too salty, and the 3-4 pounds of french fries are just nauseating. There's no offering of french fries that's LESS than a brown paper bag full or less than $3.00. How about HALF that amount of fries for $2.00? Your margin would be higher. And they were undercooked, too pale/crunchy, grease-soaked. My stomach was upset for the rest of the day. So overall, I don't plan to go back. I will wait in line for Chipotle next time. Or Jason's Deli.

We have been going to that Jason's since they opened and have always enjoyed it. You can order ahead online for pickup, seems popular, but we never have used it.
