I'm wondering what the drive time is to UNM from various parts of the area at various times of day/evening. if I get the job I'm hoping for, I want to live semi-rurally if possible, as stated in my other thread (Can a person live decently for under 40K...). Places that have been mentioned are North valley and Bosque Farms, but I'm not decided or committed to any place yet. But I also don't want to be so far from the University that I have long times spent in commuting.

More specifically, how far out could I live and still easily get to/from UNM for day classes within 1/2 hour?
Same question for evening/night classes?

You can get from Bosque Farms/Los Lunas/Peralta to UNM in half and hour. Same with the North Valley. Of course if there is a major accident that will change.

South portion of Rio Rancho to UNM Hospital has always taken me less that 50 minutes... Parking is a different issue.

Ventana West to UNM = 25 minutes unless at high traffic times (7-8:30 AM - 5-6:30 PM). Add 5-10 minutes to that during those times. I come from back east, where there is "real" traffic issues. There are no real traffic issues here, despite what locals wanna tell you.
