I'm sorry to revive a dormant thread, but I feel compelled to add a few. I really like most of the Sam Adams beers, especially Octoberfest. Wild Blueberry Wheat Ale from Sea Dog Brewing Company in Bangor, Maine, is great. Pumpkin-Head from Shipyard Brewing in Portland, Maine is the best of the Pumpkin brews I've ever tasted. Gritty McDuff's Red Claw Ale is my favorite red beer. My wife likes Geary's Pale Ale and Summer Ale.
I started brewing my own so I can drink Octoberfest all year long.
None of the above...
I like "Leinie" aka "Leinenkugel" beer... however rare I drink beer.
DH is into small brewery beer... fav. brands like flying dog, magic hat, fat tire, widmer brother hefewizen etc.. or more hand crafted beer, or even home brewed beer.
I like MGD because "there's an app for that!" Seriously, you work out/run/walk, etc. and it will tell you how many beers you can drink thanks to your working out. LOL
My favorite beer is the one I can no longer buy in America: McEwan's Scotch Ale. Thanks to the Heineken people who took over the brewery, no more exports to the U.S. Grrrr.
McEwan's is malty, not bitter, creamy, and incredibly dark.
I miss it terribly. It was great to drink, and was fantastic added to a pot of chili.
I've been infatuated the past year with the brews from Deschutes in Oregon.
My favorite is Obsidian Stout. It's like chocolate beer.
Mirror Pond Pale Ale is also good.
They make several seasonal beers, JubalAle and Red Chair are my winter favorites.
We also get many tasty brews from Lost Coast Brewery and Eel River Brewery.
Life is too short to drink cheap beer!
