May 2005. Had a friend's movming away party at my house. Drank one too many Berry Bay Breezes. It was the first hangover I'd experienced in about 10 years, and will have probably been my last since I rarely drink.
February 16, 2006. I woke up, dry-heaved in the bathroom sink after another wine-soaked evening. Called in sick to work. Every joint in my body hurt - from my elbows to my ankles. I was fat and bloated from drinking. I looked awful. I drank every night after work. I drank all day on the weekends. I repeated all my sentences. I couldn't remember anything. I took Advils every day. Mylanta most mornings. The only significant thing I remember was, "I can't go on like this" and for the next few days I was hoping I didn't have the DTs, because it had been a long, long, LONG time where I didn't even have a drink for a day. I didn't ever get the DTs. However, it took well over a year (!) for the fog to clear from my brain. There were some really wierd days where I just wanted to take my brain out of my skull and scratch the itch inside of it. I don't know what that was, but I couldn't stand it.
About a month ago! It was one of those days where everything I ate, and drank would come right back up....for hours! Self inflicted/ no sympathy!
