I like beer. Period.

I hardly ever drink 'light' beers and I don't particularly seek out 'flavored' beers. (i.e. I like beer that tastes like.... beer ... not raspberries, apples, bourbon or whatever).

I enjoy lagers, stouts, porters, red ales, amber ales, pale ales, and many more.

I love Old Speckled Hen, which is an English beer. It's frothy with burnt caramel color, it even has that caramel pull towards the end. Very nice and smooth.

Kirin Ichiban is also not bad.

Can't stand Fruit Flavored Beer, or any flavored drinks (tea / coffee) for that matter. They taste weird.

Favorite used to be Easy Street Wheat while living in Ft Collins, CO. My friend got me to try Sour beers and I like them a lot.

512 Pecan Porter is heavenly.
Thirsty Goat Amber is wonderful as well.
Paulaner Hefeweizen is a classic great.
Revolver's Blood and Honey American Pale Ale.

I could probably come up with a dozen or more additional favorites, but those are the ones that immediately spring to mind as personal favorite beers.

And as an all around easy to drink beer Magic Hat #9 http://www.magichat.net/elixirs/9/ Though it all will probably change next week!

I have been on a lager kick lately after drinking majority ales over the last few years. I have been sampling various IPLs lately, and of course Pilsner Urquell. I have also returned to Miller High Life in glass bottles...

As a younger man, I was quite a hop head and loved many of the hyper-hopped American IPAs. I still do drink some of them when I return to the US on visits. But, as I have aged, my taste has perhaps mellowed to the point where I now seem to enjoy a bit less bitterness and enjoy more a nice pale ale.

I quite like the Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. Even better for me, it seems to be available just about everywhere.

Not a fan of Palm.

I'd suggest instead a Saison. Those are quite nice.
