I know this is going to make me sound like a complete classless pig (which is funny because I take food and drink very seriously), but most of my favorite beers are malt liquors. Yes, Colt 45, Bullmax, St. Ides, and Olde English 800.

Favorites: Caffrey's Irish Ale, Boddington's, Harp Lager, Smithwick's, JW Dundee Honey Brown, Guinness, Blue Moon, Yuengling Lager, Yuengling Porter, Sam Adams Winter Lager and most of their seasonal beers.
Worst: Any cheap-a$$ swill like Natural Light, Natural Ice (any ice beer is disgusting, but this tastes like bear pi$$ spiked with rubbing alcohol), Busch, Keystone, Gennesee, etc etc.
A great lesser known domestic is Yuengling. It's actually America's oldest brewery in Pottsville, PA and they bought an old Busch brewery here in Tampa, but I still get the occasional odd look when I ask for it.
.
Yuengling is well known here in eastern PA. Around the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area, Yuengling Lager is on draft in pretty much every bar. And around here, you don't even need to specify Yuengling, you just order a "Lager" and you automatically get a Yuengling Lager.
Interesting thread. Not been old enough to drink in most states when I've travelled to the US until the last few times. I'll have to try a few in this thread as I've not heard of all of them. Over here (UK) we've got abrs serving bud, miller, coors. Stella tends to be a big seller for take out in the UK as it's strong!

With all of the good beer from the UK, people there actually drink Bud, Miller, and Coors? That stuff is horse pi$$ compared to the beer you can get over there. Heck, Bud, Miller, and Coors is horse pi$$ compared to a lot of other American beers also.
I could go for a good Boddington's Pub Ale right now.

Yes they do serve it and on tap in some bars! But yes loads of dark beers and stouts as well as lagers in the UK.
