Hi all, I've never been someone that has had to deal with allergies much, but I now live in Nashville, Tn and as many have experienced after moving here, my system has taken a toll living here for a couple of years. A year after I moved here I ended up getting step frequently enough to warrant getting my tonsils out. Since that happened about 3 years ago I've had very few allergy issues until this past weekend. The ragweed must have been high because I experienced constant runny nose, watering eyes and sneezing followed by congestion. My wife suggested Claritin D which has worked wonders the past few days but now it seems I have another issue. Last night I felt very queasy after dinner and wasn't sure why. I hadn't eaten anything to my knowledge that was out of the ordinary for me but I went to bed thinking I would be fine in the morning. No such luck. All day today I've been feeling slightly nauseous off and on and after lunch I ended up vomiting just a bit of my lunch (fun stuff I know). My wife and I think it probably has to do with post nasal drip and I'm trying to find ways to keep myself from being nauseous all day now. Any ideas?
I threw all allergy drugs away in 1995, thanks to Pycnogenol. Then went to Grape Seed Ex after a year and was doing GREAT for 20 yrs. No drugs, no allergy MD and taking these antioxidants for 21 yrs now. In the last year, something has brought on more mucus and if it's the weather or lack of rain, we are in over a 5 yr drought and it's so DRY. So I blow my nose now in the morning ONLY and then decided to get back on some Pycnogenol which I bought for a good price on ebay and low and behold the mucus is so cleared up.
Work with some baking soda/water for the upset stomach. But work on your issues and I swear by the above for help/support.
Fresh ginger does the trick. It was recommended to me by my gastro when I was having a whole host of problems.
Plus, it's really good for you!

Saltines or one piece of bread may help as well as the ginger.
