She is doing pretty well, thanks for asking! She has other issues not related to MS, but as far as the MS is concerned she has resisted the meds that the docs wanted to push on her; has changed her eating habits to a lot healthier food and has started to drink a lot more water (eliminating sodas, etc) She is now 65 and seems no worse off than when she was diagnosed. Frankly, one specialist even told her that she shows no symptoms/signs of MS, but the diagnosis was based on her having "patches" on her brain. So who knows.

Now if she could only lose some weight, she would be so much better off. She has very bad knees and is about 40 (maybe more) lbs overweight; and lives where it snows much of the year so gets little exercise. But all in all, she seems OK for now.

Thanks for the update...glad to hear your sister is doing pretty good. And yes, taking off the weight would be a huge added plus to everything. Just cutting carbs and sugars. My sister was an admitted sugarholic and all that sugar stuff is the worst for MS and for anything for that matter. If only my sister had done things differently, she might still be here. Thanks again.
