In my body and life, it's WORTH taking. Every day of my life. Stopped before surgery, went back on after surgery. I wonder if all the folks at Berkley took Grape Seed Ex to report their benefits. Or reporting on THEIR science?
I'll let the link stand on its merits. Readers here can evaluate it for themselves.
Why oh why do so many against Alt Med fight it and bother to even venture into this world of healing. There is a large population who use Alt Med, use both healing medicines allopathic and alternatives. And the group who do only what their doctors write down on the script pads.
On the Berkley newsletter, it's been around for a long time. I never subscribed to it, but would pick it up and leaf thru it at friend's houses over the years. It's definitely funded by pharma industry.
On the grape seed "negatives" in Berkley, they don't realize or don't want to acknowledge that many cancer research clinics like Mayo, City of Hope, Univ of Maryland are using grape seed ex in their cancer research and trials on their work. How much they want to learn, I don't know, but it's there in some of the clinics. Could be more than I even mentioned.
These Alt Meds are probably giving pharma some concern that some of their base profits are going by by as many are doing their own healing.
I went off allergy drugs (otc) over 22 yrs ago. Haven't bought a sudafed since 1995 or so. They lost this customer. Allergy docs lost a customer too.
It's a BIG world and everyone has the choices to do their type of healing. Plenty to go around for everyone. Even homeopathics.
On the breath issue I never thought about this one...but I have pretty good breath after sleeping 9 hrs or so and when I think of some stinky stale breath in many, if they only knew.
They mentioned that grapeseed extract only lowered systolic blood pressure but that is better than nothing since systolic is considered a higher risk factor.
"Systolic blood pressure is a more important risk factor for cardiovascular disease than diastolic blood pressure"
What they did not mention are the different kinds of grapeseed extract. There are several trademarked grapeseed formulations. The best and most researched results are with MegaNatural GSE.
I'm certainly NOT taking Grape SEED Ex for BP issues but it could be helping too, along with the meds I do take.
I take it primarily as it MAY keep me from cancers.....
Plus no more allergy/sinus drugs for over 20 yrs.
Talk to the French, it was there long long before it got to the U.S. That's where it originated. So many naysayers, unbelievable.
