- I just heard a Medical doctor say Acid Reflux is because of bacteria in the stomach.
So eating natural foods that counter act the bacteria is what's needed.
He said the liver is not processing the bacteria so combat it with naturally anti bacterial foods.
Your liver doesn't "process bacteria." Bacteria you ingest either die in the pH2 stomach acid or if they get into the body per se, and not just the GI tract, they are attacked by the immune system. That's it in simple terms. And no the liver doesn't filter anything. Are you confusing it with the kidneys? The liver has biochemical detoxifying pathways, but that's not the same. A whole lot of confusion here started by the original post.
