I have taken turmeric (with black pepper, dissolved in a half cup of warm milk) and milk thistle for many years now. I started the milk thistle because for about five years, I took a medication which is known to irritate the liver. I had blood tests every three months to check my liver enzymes, and the results remained completely normal all that time. So, maybe milk thistle helped.

The Milk Thistle and Turmeric combo works!! Give it a shot to detox the liver and energize your life again.

Glad to hear that worked for you.

Just to add an option to those who still may need help or options.

Aloe vera juice will also slowly heal the liver. When one drinks it, it is bitter, but in time as your liver heals the taste of the Aloe is less and less bitter. It's an old Ayurvedic remedy.

One can drink as little or as much as one wants to. I drank 8oz per day for 6mo. Too much adult beverage
was why....

when I had been exposed to terrible oil fumes from a defective furnace, and my health in general was going downhill with digestion issues too (felt like I was falling apart), I took the milk thistle and it helped. I don't remember the particulars now because it was a long time ago but it did help.

Yesterday the doctor told me to stay on the turmeric with bioperine--black pepper--the black pepper that's in with it makes it work better. I won't mention the reason I take it because that topic is currently forbidden in this forum. Dr basically said that anything that helps with inflammation will help my problem. Such as good quality fish oil lowered by triglycerides.
