I have a feeling deep in my gut about upcoming sporting events in Brazil. The World Cup is only weeks away and there appears to be a multitude of things not completed. Also, bookings are far below what was hoped for and civil unrest of giving potential audiences second thoughts.

And, it isn't much different with preparations for the Olympics.

Truly sad and the question is – can anything be done about it?

I read on NY Times that a Brazilian sailor had encountered dead bodies on four occasions while sailing in the bay and yet the authorities insist that recent tests had shown that contamination was within “satisfactory” standards in Brazil.

I think the Olympic committee is just waiting the World Cup to happen for then to announce they will move the Olympic Games back to London.
