Good thing that Trump devastated the State Department. There are still some neoconservatives left, but mostly they are gone. If you like endless wars to please Rockwell, McDonnel Douglas, Raytheon and the other weapons manufacturers then Hillary was your woman. An incompetent US State Department and Trump as president is actually a blessing to world peace.

Whatever Trump's overseas adventures are going to be, they are not going to be quagmires like Iraq was and Afganistan is.

I disagree.
What I think he is doing is uniting the world in a global common hatered towards him. I am pretty sure he is going be the biggest selling piñata character in the world over the next for years.
Also ..... he is making Canada look better and better every day .
In Canada diversity is our strength......
In Trump's America .... I am feeling the vibe is more conform or we will deport your a$$!

Even though Canada is located in North America it is more like a Scandinavian country in its values.
We have had a lot of conformity under Bush, he was not into deportation though. Obama deported more people than Bush, but Bush polarized the country too, extremely. Trump has an uphill fight because the deep state establishment, which includes the CIA and the NSA, all of the mainstream media, the weapons manufacturers are against him.
Thanks to the neocons, 17 years of murderous wars instigated by the US (Iraq had no terrorist ties prior to the US invasion), Lybia used to be stable until the American military-security state and war profiteers set their sights on it. One million casualties in Iraq--500 children under the age of five died because of economic sanctions, another half a million because of combat related deaths. You have to be naive to believe that there is not going to be blow back on US soil. Trump's assessment of the security threat and his policies regarding muslim countries with terrorist problems is correct. Although undemocratic, it makes sense from a security perspective although it pleases the racists, it is the correct thing to do, unfortunately.

I am not saying just let everyone walk on over..... but someone with more political polish would implement these changes using a different approach. How a person explains and implements what they are doing makes a huge diffference. I also think he needs to worker harder to stop motivating home grown terror. I think other politicans get that ..... but he just does not think enough before he talks.

I am excited about going to Bogota..... I could be wrong .... but I have a feeling I am going to be getting a really cool taste if the south american hippster sceen.

The world does not hate Trump. The media tried to make it seem like Americans hated him, that he didn't stand a chance of winning the election and look what happened. IMO what we see is American politics are going to start influencing other places, including Canada sadly.

Is this thread about Bogota in Colombia or some Bogota in Canada that we don't know about?
