Hello all, if you are reading this, then I would hope you are as interested in capoiera as I am.

For those that in the know, it is an martial art that was camouflaged in the form of song & dance, due to the fact that the practitioners of the art were what would be considered in nordic north amerigo-land fugitive slaves (of course that is from the HIStory perspective [i.e. the point of view of what now would be considered trans-national neo-nazi cartels, multi-national fascists/corporatists, pseudo-nationalist planters/settlers/colonists, "fatherland" faeudalists from across the north atlantic pond; the descendants of the former & their coloured concubines & their slaver sidekicks from the man-children; the propaganda wing of the globalist plantation system] one might from another perspective make a claim they were asserting their right to self-determination).

There is a little tidbit from this text about perhaps the cultural milieu capoiera might have evolved from.

Travels in Brazil in 1815, 1816, and 1817By Maximilian Wied (Prinz von): p.85-86.

A bit more from Gregoire.

An Enquiry Concerning the Intellectual and Moral Faculties, and Literature of Negroes: p.143-144.

Still I'd like the talk in this thread to be about the history, the practice, music, songs & of course dances associated with this cultural art.

A little tidbits about the milieu that capoiera emerged from via the student of Blumenbach, Langsdorff.

Voyages and Travels in Various Parts of the World: During the Years 1803, 1804, 1805, 1806, and 1807; p.51.

actually it's spelled capoeira, not capoiera...

I practiced it for 2 or 3 months when I was a little kid

and people joke that the capoeira folks always sing the same song, "paranauê, paranauê, paraná"

So how was the experience, if you remember anything about it?

Interesting... I wasn't very good at it, as far as I can remember... But I enjoyed the sound of the berimbau.

Or does this also showcase some of the moves?

OK, any thoughts or experiences or observations on the musical, spiritual, philosophical aspects of this particular art form?

Well, given the contrast between the responses to this thread & the types of threads that the posters here seem to respond to, it looks like my hunches have been pretty much correct.

The globalist plantation system & its propaganda wing is nothing but a front for trans-national neo-nazi cartels, multi-national corporatists/fascists, pseudo-nationalist planters/settlers/colonists, "fatherland" feudalists from across the north atlantic pond (robber-baron royals, nonsensical "nobility" & conniving commoners) & the so-called people of colour who pimp & prostitute themselves & their children (literally by the millions throughout the centuries) to the former.

One world. One massah. One hallow & holy plantation.
