We are looking to relocate to the Anchorage area, what would the auto insurance be on my 07 Jeep Commander for a year and how much is a cord of firewood cost?

Auto insurance - like anywhere else, mainly depends on your driving record and type of vehicle. I actually pay less up here than when I lived down south.

I agree with Moose Whisperer. Insurance is insurance. However, if you had Farmer's Insurance in the lower 48, you may have to change. There is not a rep up here. My insurance agent in Colorado recommended I change when I got up here. Most other insurance companies have a presence up here.
